Polyethylene is produced by polymerization of ethylene in a fludized-bed reactor in the presence of butene-1 and hydrogen gas and the use of Zg or Cr catalyst for the production of high density polyethylene HDPE and Linear low density polyethylene LLDPE.

• MAERZ furnace dedicated to the production of quicklime (CaO) in concentrations that meet the needs of customers
• Among the outputs of the furnace is carbon dioxide, CO2 with a low concentration in accordance with the law of the environment
• The furnace is fed with a stone (limestone age 5), and natural gas is used for combustion.
• Calcium oxide is prepared industrially by heating calcium carbonate to about 1000°C (thermal dissolution of limestone).

Quick lime uses:

• One of the most important industries that depend on quicklime is the iron and steel industry, where it is added to iron ore in blast furnaces, as it lowers the melting point of iron ore and separates unwanted impurities such as silica.
• Iron factories are the most consuming quicklime product, and iron companies also have factories for the production of quicklime, which makes iron companies also compete in the quicklime market, unlike iron companies are among the most consuming and producing customers.
• As a result of its high melting point, calcium oxide is used to lining furnaces.
• It is used in the preparation of calcium hydroxide used in building materials.
• It is used as an alkaline substance in metallurgy, glass industry, paper industry, sugar industry and cement industry.
