Al-Mulla chairs the meeting of the high committee for Petroleum Sector’s Projects
Engineer Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, discussed the progress of work in the implementation of the fuel stations monitoring system (ATG) project, which includes the installation of automatic measuring devices on fuel tanks in car supply and service stations that are automatically linked to the main center of each marketing company to which the stations are affiliated and centrally in an operations room The Ministry and the Petroleum Authority , by which it achieves a tight control over the trading of petroleum products and ensures their quality, in addition to an instant recognition of fuel availability status in all gas stations throughout different regions of the Republic.
The Minister of Petroleum also reviewed the current position of the Logistics Services Project (PLS) located in El-Max area in Alexandria, which aims to trade, store and transport quantities of petroleum products, natural gas and petrochemicals. In the meantime, there is an ongoing study for establishing a region for fueling ships using marine facilities, as well as the establishment for warehousing to raise the efficiency of utilizing available assets and to increase the production capacity in support of the strategy of transforming Egypt into a regional center for Gas and Petroleum trading.. The Project’s investment cost is estimated to exceed $500 million.
